Step-by-step reconstitution
- Allow the sealed vial to reach room temperature before opening to prevent condensation on cold powder
- Select the solvent your protocol specifies — bacteriostatic water for multi-draw work, sterile water for single-use
- Introduce solvent slowly down the inner wall of the vial rather than directly onto the cake
- Swirl gently until dissolved; never shake, which shears longer chains and encourages aggregation
- Aliquot into single-use volumes immediately, label with lot code and date, and freeze what is not in immediate use
